9 Sons Of Kempley honours the memory of nine young men who were born and grew to manhood in around the village of Kempley in Gloucestershire England. In 1914 at the outbreak of World War 1, 8 of these men were scattered far-afield where all were killed in action or died of disease. The ninth ‘son’ was born in 1919 and as a member of the RAF became a casualty of the Second World War.
In October 2014 the villagers of Kempley erected a memorial to the 9 Sons, related to this event the app contains maps, photographs and other material about the lives of the 9 Sons.
